Every model at Diane Dick Legends now has even more reasons to hold their heads up high. Even though many beautiful and talented people from throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, and Canada gathered in New York City at the Hilton New York for the semi-annual International Modeling and Talent Association's event, FIVE of our local models turned some powerful heads. IMTA is an organization comprised of leading modeling/talent training centers and agencies engaged in the professional promotion of the fashion and talent industry. More than 300 top fashion and talent agents, casting directors and industry professionals participated as judges and scouts in the action-packed, week-long international event. Men, women and children of all ages competed on the modeling runway in high fashion, casual wear and swimwear while actors performed monologues, cold reads, soap and sitcoms scenes and TV commercials. Singers and dancers were showcased, and all participants attended educational workshops and seminars presented by industry experts. The exciting week culminated with awards events at which the agents, educational institutions and VIP's in attendance presented competition winners with trophies, cash prizes and scholarships for outstanding performances. Among the winners were Amarillo locals: Many of these will join the ranks of IMTA Cover Models who are working in Paris, Milan, London, Tokyo and New York, who have graced the covers of Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Men's Health, Elle, In Style, Interview, Seventeen, GQ, Details, Sports Illustrated, Teen Vogue, Elle Girl...and IMTA actors who appear in Gray's Anatomty, Hero, Ghost Whisperer, Dollhouse, CSI, Private Practice, Hannah Montana, As The World Turns, The Young & The Restless, One Life To Live, All My Children, Law & Order, Cold Case, The Bold & the Beautiful, Dirty Sexy Money, NCIS, The Suite Life Of Zach & Cody, Friday Night Lights, Without A Trace, How I Met Your Mother, Medium, Criminal Minds, and Desprate Housewives....Feature Films including Hannah Montana: The Movie, Dadnapped, Marley & Me, Planet 51, College, The Hole, Nailed, the Perfect Game, The 2 Bobs, Ghost Machine, The Glass Eye, Land of The Lost, I Love You Beth Cooper, Ice Age: The Land of the Dinosaurs, Five Killers, Personal Effects, The Extra Man, The Legend of Spyro, 9,The Soloist, G.I. Joe: The Rise of The Cobra, Two, Four, Six, When in Rome, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and many more. Agents from the USA, Milan, Paris, London, Hamburg, Munich and Tokyo were present and searching for new stars. Among those scouting at the convention were IMG, Elite, New York Models, Next, Major, LA Models, Welhelmina, Women, United Talent Agency, Cunningham Escott Slevin& Doherty, Abrams Artists, Coast to Coast, Brian Leder Talent Manaement, The Savage Agency,Acme Talent & Leterary, Unified Management,KSRA and numerous others.
